Red Sox Foundation

Thank you for your interest in our memorial giving program. We are honored that you are considering, or have chosen to memorialize your loved one with us. In addition to the Hall of Memoriam plaque you will create, all gifts made in honor of your loved one will also serve tremendous purpose. The Red Sox Foundation strives to make a difference in the lives of children, families, veterans, and our communities in need by improving their health, education, and recreational opportunities.

The funds received from our memorial giving program directly benefit our programs, partnerships, and other charitable ventures. Here are some examples of what memorial gifts can help fund:

Red Sox Scholars is a college access program that awards a $10,000 college scholarship to 12 Boston Public School 7th graders each year. The Foundation then provides academic, professional, and social support to the 8th graders for the next nine years to ensure they graduate from college with as little debt as possible — as well as feeling part of a family of resources for years to come.
RBI uses the sports of baseball and softball to promote the importance of good decision-making through development of good nutrition, leadership, and respect for others, nonviolent conflict resolution, and an overall commitment to one’s potential and to the community.
Home Base, a Red Sox Foundation and Massachusetts General Hospital Program, is dedicated to healing the invisible wounds for Veterans, Service Members and their Families through world-class clinical care, wellness, education and research.
Jimmy Fund since its founding in 1948, the Jimmy Fund has raised millions of dollars through thousands of community efforts to help save lives and give hope to cancer patients around the world.
The Dimock Center in Roxbury is recognized nationally as a model for providing health and social service programs to more than 76,000 families with 17,000 unique patients and clients representing a wide range of socioeconomic and ethnic backgrounds.
Charitable Giving we are incredibly fortunate to have the ability to support other non-profits through small grants. In 2020, we were able to donate over $4 million to various non-profits around New England and Southwest Florida.

Again, we are truly honored that you are considering, or have chosen, to memorialize your loved one with the Red Sox Foundation. Through incredible efforts such as yours, the Red Sox Foundation can continue to make a difference in our local communities while paying tribute to your loved one. The work we do together matters, thank you for being part of our community.
